Community Standards & Guidelines for Office Tenants
These standards and guidelines are included in lease agreements with Root and Bloom Institute. They are intended to create a professional, welcoming, and safe community for all practitioners and their clients.
1. Respect & Noise
Maintain a quiet atmosphere at all times.
Sound machines or white noise devices are recommended for privacy.
No loud conversations or disruptive sounds in offices or common areas.
2. Client & Guest Conduct
Clients should wait in the designated waiting area until called.
Tenant is responsible for the behavior of clients and guests.
3. Use of Common Areas
Shared spaces (waiting room, restrooms, kitchenette, hallways) must remain clean and accessible to all tenants.
Do not leave personal items, marketing materials, or supplies unattended in common areas without permission.
Kitchenette use: label any stored food and clean up immediately after use.
4. Scheduling & Space Access
Offices may only be used during the hours specified in the Lease Agreement.
Tenant shall not allow others to use the office without prior approval by RBI.
5. Safety & Facilities
Candles, incense, or strong fragrances are not allowed unless specifically approved by RBI.
Do not block hallways, doors, or exits.
Report any safety hazards or repair needs promptly.
6. Professional Standards
Tenant is responsible for maintaining any required licenses, certifications, or insurance.
All practices must comply with city, state, and federal law.
No illegal substances or alcohol on the premises.
7. Respect for Community
We are intentionally building community around VWC Agreements and ask everyone to practice these agreements to the best of their comfort and ability within RBI.
Be courteous and thoughtful to fellow tenants, staff, and clients at all times.
Conflicts between tenants should be addressed within VWC Agreements and, if needed, brought to RBI staff for support.
8. Community Building
Tenants are encouraged (but not required) to participate in events for the RBI tenant community. Events may include potlucks, experiential activities, or local walks. Tenants are invited to offer/co-create shared activities as well.
